Urinary leaks can appear or increase during menopause and in the years after. They do not define your value, femininity or freedom. They are connected to body tone, hormones, habits, pregnancies, posture, stress and awareness. Above all, they are something many women speak about far too little.
The problem is not only the leak itself. It is the small mental calculation that comes afterwards: “Can I laugh freely?”, “Should I avoid that walk?”, “What if it happens while I am out?”. When the body becomes something to constantly monitor, everyday freedom becomes smaller too.

The pelvic floor is not a technical detail
It is a part of the body that supports, accompanies and participates in daily life. When you learn to feel it, you can begin to work with small, discreet and progressive gestures. But feeling it does not mean contracting it all day. Many women actually need release as much as strength.
In the 10-Minute Method, the pelvic floor enters a wider routine: breathing, walking, posture, light activation and release. Because the body does not work in separate compartments. The way you breathe changes the way you move. The way you walk changes the way you perceive your center.
Three signs to observe
- Leaks during coughing, laughing, sneezing, faster walking or small jumps.
- A sudden feeling of urgency, as if there were no time to reach the bathroom.
- Difficulty sensing the pelvic floor or relaxing it after contraction.
A gentler approach
The point is not to squeeze all day. The body needs rhythm: activate, breathe, release. Even Kegels while walking can become a simple practice when done gently: two steps of activation, two steps of release. Little, but done well.
This approach is for the woman who does not want to feel “broken”, for those who have had children and feel something has changed, for those in post-menopause who wonder whether it is too late, and for those who need to regain trust before beginning more structured exercises.
A mini-routine to try
- 2 minutes of low breathing, without pushing the abdomen.
- 4 minutes of slow walking, observing posture and foot contact.
- 2 minutes with the pattern “2 steps activate, 2 steps release”.
- 2 final minutes of complete release, without holding.
The most useful path is the one you can repeat. Every day. Without fear. Without shame. And without turning the body into an enemy to fix.
